Use the infamous K.I.S.S. principle:  Keep It Simple Sweetie!

Do you have overflowing cabinets of all the latest and supposedly greatest cleaning products?  You should either hurry and use them up or ditch them!  Pinterest is loaded with the simple formulas and ideas for cleaning.  I have found that these are my the indispensable items:  Concentrated all purpose cleaner, concentrated degreaser, concentrated window cleaner, a strong toilet cleaner.  The gallon jugs of concentrated cleaners are super affordable, especially at the big box stores, and last a really long time.  Grab a few large squirt bottles and some good cleaning rags.  Mix up several squirt bottle of this stuff and keep a set in EVERY bathroom, the kitchen , utility room and garage.  This makes it super simple and quick to just squirt and scrub that sink in a moment and be done with it!  If you have to walk to another area to get the products, chances are you will get derailed and never get back there to do it!

Writing this to you today reminds me that my cleaning products seemed to have reproduced and the shelves are in much need of a reorganization!

So, my sweeties, I’m off to take my own advice!  Remember – do a little bit at the time and KEEP IT SIMPLE AND STREAMLINED!

Just 15 minutes every day!

Lest you think I’ve lost my mind, I don’t mean you can clean an entire house in just 15 minutes!  But what you will find amazing is to set your kitchen timer for 15 minutes, choose just one room or area of your house, and go to town!  Remember, this is a mindset change! You won’t get every single heel mark off that tile floor, clean all baseboards, polish the chandelier and wash the blinds ALL in 15 minutes!  But if you can at least maybe dust the room and shake out that door mat and put away a few stray toys from that room, you’ll be amazed at what a difference that makes! When the buzzer sounds, turn it off and take a rest with your hubby!  You earned it! Tomorrow is another day and maybe another room to semi-conquer!
